Changes in the Neurex Board
A new President for Neurex
Prof. Jean-Christophe Cassel has taken over the presidency of Neurex, succeeding Prof. Paul Pevet, who had been carrying out this task since 2003. Jean-Christophe Cassel is head of the Laboratory of Cognitive & Adaptive Neurosciences ((LNCA) - UMR 7364 CNRS UdS). The team's research focuses on the functional dynamics of memory consolidation and on the molecular and cellular mechanisms - particularly epigenetic mechanisms - responsible for memory deficits in neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer's disease and related disorders, Lewy body and fronto-temporal dementia, Huntington's disease).
A new board member for Switzerland
Prof Anissa Kempf joined the Neurex board members representing the Swiss part of our trinational network. Recently hired at the Biozentrum (Oct. 2021), Anissa Kempf and her team are interested in the cellular and molecular basis of sleep. She was awarded the ERC prestigious starting grant (see last newsletter).
Welcome to the board !
